I have the same problem. Did it work? Did you find out how to solve that problem? If so, let me know how, please, I'm stuck in the same windows prompt command and I cannot do anything. The same trial, the same thing.
1st of all, WinPE or the recovery environment is not windows and will not see the accounts within windows, so it's normal that net user does not show your windows users. 2ndly, the quickest and easiest way to activate the local admin is the following:
Administrator C Windows System32 Cmd Exe
Download File: https://urlca.com/2vzl9q
reg load HKLM\TEMP c:\windows\system32\config\sam for /f "tokens=3" %a in ('reg query HKLM\TEMP\SAM\Domains\Account\Users\000001F4 /v F') do set str=%a set str=%str:2000011=2000010% reg add HKLM\TEMP\SAM\Domains\Account\Users\000001F4 /v F /t REG_BINARY /d %str% /f reg unload HKLM\TEMP
That requires the letter c: to be assigned to your windows system drive within the recovery environment, of course. Execute those lines, then reboot and logon as "administrator" without a password (unless you set one before disabling the account).
Here are some posts with the similar issue with yours, just for your reference, you can try the method mentioned in them: -lost-local-administrator-password-on-machine-in-workgroup-uac-turned-on-help Note: This is a third-party link and we do not have any guarantees on this website. Looks like a core install. You can try to convert core to GUI but note it didn't work well so for 2016 and newer OSs this option to convert is no longer available. -us/000135474/enabling-the-graphical-user-interface-gui-in-windows-server-2012
"Hi guys, have you ever met this problem that Command Prompt keeps popping up with a black window which shows a pathway: c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe. I closed the window, but it popped up right away. I repeated several times, but the CMD window still came out continuously. Do you know how can I make this right? Please help me if you know how to get things right on my computer. Thank you very much."
Those are the instructions i used to open the command prompt as admin -to-open-the-command-prompt-as-administrator-in-windows-8.1/#::text=Press%20Windows%2BR%20to%20open,Command%20Prompt%20window%20as%20administrator.
By the way, you can't use the Windows XP boot CD for this purpose because its Recovery Console will ask for a password for the offline installation. However, you can use a Vista or Windows 7 DVD to reset a forgotten Windows administrator password on Windows XP.
Very excellent way to bypass Administrative passwords using sticky notes trick. My problem is my administrative password is broken by my son only on our computers. So I want to prevent his ways of doing this using system32 folder and cmd.exe OR sethc.exe.
Because of Windows 10 security restrictions, I cannot run a software (WirelessModem.exe of D-Link) I used to run easily on Windows 8.1. However, I can run it from a CMD command prompt run under Administrator account. To make it convenient to open the software whenever I need it, I created a shortcut on my desktop, set it to run as administrator, set the target to "C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe" and *Start in" to the location where my said software is located, as shown in the following screenshots. Nevertheless when I run this shortcut, UAC prompts for Administrator confirmation and when I hit OK, CMD opens with system32 path, rather than the location I specified earlier in shortcut properties, why?
Please note that creating direct shortcut to wirelessmodem.exe does bring up a pop-up in red notice reading "This app has been blocked for your protection" so the only hack I know is to run wirelessmodem.exe from an admin CMD window. So, my main concern in this question is to start cmd in the location of the said app, not in Windows' system32.
Have you ever gotten locked out of your Windows 10 computer or had to figure out how to change a user password like the administrator password? Windows 10 offers several approaches to reset Windows user passwords if you know the current password or not. One of the easiest methods is to reset Windows 10 password via the command prompt.
3. In the Command Prompt window run the following two lines. These lines essentially overwrite a file called utilman.exe (Utility Manager) on the Windows 10 sign-in screen located in C:\Windows\system32 with cmd.exe.
A day later, the attackers returned to the environment using ScreenConnect. They used PowerShell to launch a command prompt process and then added a user account to the device using net.exe. The new user was then added to the local administrator group via net.exe.
Another Cobalt Strike executable was loaded and launched a few hours later. That was followed immediately by the installation of a Cobalt Strike service on the domain controller using the domain administrator credentials obtained earlier. The service was a chained Server Message Block listener, allowing Cobalt Strike commands to be passed to the server and other computers on the network. Using Windows Management Interface, the attackers remotely executed a new Cobalt Strike beacon on the same server.
If the app is pinned to the taskbar, you can click the button to launch the console with standard privileges. However, if you want to launch the console with administrator privileges from the taskbar, use these steps:
Generally, to create a new admin account for Windows 10, you must first sign in to Windows 10 with an administrator or a regular user with administrative rights. However, occasionally, you may not be able to sign in Windows 10 for some reason, such as forgetting your password, losing administrator rights or some other errors. In this case, how can you create a new administrator account with which you can regain access to Windows 10? Don't worry. Here are two ways to create an admin account when you can't sign in Windows 10.
After you finish creating administrator account, you'd better restore the utilman.exe file. If not, you won't be able to use the Utility Manger on Windows 10 sign-in screen and on the other hand, others might use command prompt to change your Windows 10 admin password or make other changes to your computer. To restore the utilman.exe file, simply follow the steps below.
The above method is not easy for you? Don't worry, another simpler way to create an administrator account for Windows 10 when you can't sign in is using an iSumsoft disk created with the Windows Password Refixer tool. This approach is much simpler and it doesn't require you to make any changes to your computer.
When iSumsoft Windows Password Refixer appears, click on the Add User button. Type a user name and password (optional) and click OK. This will create a new administrator account for Windows 10.
STEP 4. -Replace drive letter E with your Windows 7 drive letter>> to see your drive letter, click on load driver while on step 2. you should be able to browse and see your windows 7 drive letter (drive letter may change from C: to any other letter when booted in recovery mode).
Within the Remote Desktop session to az140-25-vm0, switch to the Administrator: C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe window and, from the command prompt, run the following to perform installation of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable:

If the first solution did not resolve the issue for you, do not worry. Another solution that you can try is to use Windows 10 installation media to activate the inbuilt administrator account. Here is how to do this:
Now, wait patiently for Windows to create a new administrator account. Look at the lower-left corner of the sign-in screen to see the newly created admin account. You can click on it to use it to sign in to your computer.
This website is for all those people that love to use CMD commands and want to know more ways of automating administrator/user tasks. I am using the command prompt of Windows 10 OS.When I type the following command,D:\>cd d:\windows\system32\configand hit enter,I get this message, The syntax of the command is incorrect. Can you tell me what is wrong with the syntax of this command?
I have also tried cutting out the batch file and putting net or net.exe in the program/script field, and start tssdis in the arguments, putting "net start tssdis" with speech marks in the program field with nothing in the arguments field, and putting C:\windows\system32\ in the Start in field. Nothing works - the task continues to return a 0x2 error. 2ff7e9595c
